    Dongguan is located the central south of Guangdong Province, northeast of the Pearl River Delta. It is in the center of the economic corridor between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and only 90 kilometers from Hong Kong. Foreign enterprises in Dongguan can conveniently transport products all over the world and enter the southern China the greater China market through Dongguan. Dongguan has a streamlined transportation system, where products can arrive in Hong Kong within two hours.


    Convenient Ports
    Dongguan has 7 ports in total, including 2 national first-class ports and 4 Inspection sites for Hong Kong and Macao freight vehicles. More than 7,000 trucks coming to and from Hong Kong and Macao daily. The Dongguan Logistics Center (type B) is now under construction. Dongguan was the first city in China to set up fast customs clearance and adopt an advanced unattended electric checking system. Currently, the Liaobu Vehicle Inspection Site in Dongguan can clear vehicles in an average of 17 minutes and 37 seconds and in as little as 3 minutes.


    Three international airports:
    Guangzhou and Shenzhen international airports are within a 50 minute driving distance to downtown Dongguan. Besides, it takes two hour drive to travel from the city to the Hong Kong International Airport.


    Four railways:
    Dongguan is located at the intersection of the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway, the Guangdong-Shenzhen Railway, the Guangdong-Meizhou-Shantou Railway and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, connecting the city to the national railway network and the whole world. Dongguan has a state A-class railway port, which can directly carry out immigration procedures to Hong Kong.


    Five ports:
    Dongguan has a national A-class port - Humen port, and is in a one-hour driving distance to Huangpu and Xinsha ports in Guangzhou, Yantian and Shekou ports in Shenzhen. It takes only two hours to drive to the Hong Kong port. 


    Highway:
    Dongguan’s highways cover more than 4,713 kilometers, with a density of 191.21 kilometers/hundred square kilometers, and rank high across the country. The city’s highways extend in all directions, with intercity expressways like the Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Dongguan-Shenzhen, Guangzhou-Huizhou, Beijing-Zhuhai Highway linking to surrounding cities, and the Changhu highway, Longlin highway, Coastal highway, Rapid Ring Road, East Rapid Road, and Songshan Lake Rapid Road inside the city.

    Light railway is under construction, which the Huizhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen and Dongguan-Huizhou inter-city line will connect to downtown Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Huizhou. In addition, 4 urban lines (R1 to R4) will connect towns and link to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Railway system.
